Well we took the kids to the fair this evening and I can tell I'm not a "kid" anymore. I recall growing up that I wanted to spend all the time I could at the fair riding all the rides and playing the games. Well today when I went the family had fun but I didn't feel too hot. I am not sure if it is from losing weight and not eating the "greasy" things any more and having to smell that at the fair that made my leave with a tummy ache or something else. Cayden did come away with a Tom Cat (from Tom & Jerry). Tom is bigger than he is but at least it was only $5. Cayden and I make a great team squirting water at a target! ;) I must say thought that as much fun as it was I am glad to be at home.
Now tomorrow we are going to see the Nashville Predators!!!!!!!!! :) That will be a blast!

The fair is in town...
Well I didn't make it to enter any pictures in the fair this year - just did not get around to going through all the pictures I have taken for the past year and selecting the 'best' ones out. I think we are going to take the kids Friday night so they can suck the bank account dry. There's nothing cheap about the fair. It's about $5 a person to get in and then armbands are $18 a head then you have drinks and food on top of that. Now I know why my parents always complained about fair week - it's not cheap at all. I am sure the kids will have a good time though. :)

4 MORE pounds lighter
Wow - what can I say? I got on the scales today to see I had made a new level!!! When I say new level I mean I go down into a different set of numbers. Such as last week I was 282.6 and this week I was 278.8. Anytime I roll over into a 'new' set of numbers it's great - it really shows me that I am making progress. I have been doing this since May 17th and have lost 38 pounds so far! My goal is to get down to around 210 pounds, which would be a total loss of 107 pounds. I am over 1/3 of the way there and it's exciting. I really appreciate everyone's encouragement through out this life style change and I hope that I can continue to do well!

Gas & People
Ok ok - we all know that Hurricane Ike is getting ready to make landfall around the Texas coastline. I have gotten more calls / text today about gas being over $5/gallon in Loretto and Florence. Well instead of believing them (because I didn't) I took the time to call a few gas stations and wouldn't you know - gas is only $3.79. I recall my high school and college Economics classes and we dicussed supply and demand as well as the "market" of a commodity. Even with a Hurricane coming in and with the 'possibility' of rigs having to be shut down it would be very hard to believe that gas would go up OVER $1.00 overnight. It now appears that Ike is not going to go right through the middle of the refineries and the storm is not expected to keep the rigs offline long. What will cause prices to rise is EVERYONE going out and getting gas right away because the demand is going to shoot up and the supply is going to reamin the same or slighlty lower. So it's not the Hurricane that is going to raise the prices right now - it is us! Maybe I am totally wrong about this but that is my thoughts on this.

My Little Brother...
In case you haven't heard my brother, Patrick, will be leaving in the next couple of months to go to Iraq for a year. While we believe he will be in a somewhat safe place one can never know for sure. If you want his contact info please send me a message and I will give it to you! :) Thanks for everyone that is keeping the family in prayers.

So Proud of Cayden
While Cayden is not quite 5 years old yet (will be next Thursday) he is such a big boy!! Last week Jenifer asked him if he would like to give some of his toys to kids who do not have any. Cayden has way too many toys in his room and we thought this would be a great way to get him involved in selecting which ones were given away. Well not only did he get rid of a few toys he filled up a HUGE lawn trashbag full of toys. I took them to "A Kids Place" this morning and they were very appreciative of all the toys. I was very pround of him for getting rid of some of his toys - he did not even throw a fit about it because he understood that the toys were going to children who do not have any toys.

What a day...
Have you ever had one of those days when you working so hard and think you are almost done with a project then something happens? Well that happened to me today. I am working on an audit for an organization I belong to right now and I just knew I would finish it today. Well needless to say my brain got a work out because of all the thinking that I had to do to 'fix' the problem. It was a very productive day though! :)
Now I am off to read the over 200 discussion board post in the online Business Policy class that I am helping with (teacher assistant).

Child #3???
Ok so Jenifer and I have always wanted three little ones - yeah I know we are crazy. Well the other night she tells me that she wants #3 before Jayse is 4 and would like to have him/her in November / December. So this would mean Nov / Dev 2009. While I am not sure I am ready I guess I do agree that we don't want all our children to be 4 years apart. Cayden, for the most part, has been a great helper with Jayse though! :) Now that Jayse is a little older they do fight a lot more, but hey what else are brothers for. ;) I guess we will see how the next few months go before any 'final' decisions are made...
Weigh In
Well last week was my birthday so I ate out at Lunch on Thursday, Dinner on Thursday, Dinner on Friday, as well as cake through out. I also forgot my walking DVD at work so I did not get to walk on Thursday & Friday. So after missing 8 miles of walking last week and the extra food intake I did gain 1/2 pound. 1/2 pound is not bad though considering the eating out and cake. :) I hope to make it all up this week since there is no birthdays or going out to eat.
